    Heavy rains cause havoc in DK, Udupi districts

    Heavy rains lashing the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi in the last two days have caused widespread damage to houses and propertyin the region.  Several houses and roads were destroyed in the rains in DK and the water levels in the rivers Nethravati, Phalguni and Kumaradhara were rising steadily, official sources said. No casualties had been reported so far.
