Kumta: An FIR has been registered against IRB company and NHAI at Kumta police station.

Ganapathi Ambiga of Tandrakuli village have filed a complaint against both the institutions. He held the road construction company responsible for the deaths of three kids.

Kumta police have registered a case under sections 337, 338 and 304(a) of the IPC.

Preventive measures taken: Company

The officials of IRB claimed that they had taken up preventive measures before the onset of monsoon.

“We have deployed adequate manpower and machinery on the spot,” they said.

Denying the allegation of unscientific work, he said the project is designed by the NHAI’s technical team. Therefore, there is no question of unscientific work, he added.
