Bhatkal: A team of Bhatkal town Municipal Corporation (TMC) officials launched a campaign of pasting pamphlets on walls of homes detailing information on the proper ways of segregating and disposing of garbage.

Officials of TMC along with College students and lectures visited various part of town on saturday, to educate the public about separation, collection and management of wet and dry garbage, and toxic waste at homes.

Speaking to Sahilonline, President Matta Sadique said, without participation and co-operation of public, it will be not possible to fulfill the dream of achieving garbage free town.

Health inspector chief Sujiya said, nearly 9000 pamphlets were printed to create awareness among people, to create awareness regarding garbage disposal, by pasting pamphlets on the walls of home, shops etc.

Officer Shastri, Anjuman College Principal Mustaque Shaikh, AM Mulla, Sahil Mujawar and many others were present.
