Bengaluru: The state government has decided to provide sites for Kannadigas who were recently evicted from Baina beach by the Goa authorities.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who chaired a meeting at his official residence Krishna in Bengaluru on Tuesday, said the government was committed to rehabilitating the families and that sites would be provided in the first phase.
Siddaramaiah asked the Karnataka Border Area Development Authority officials to submit a report on the number of people displaced and the land required to rehabilitate them and its location in the next three days.
