Mundgod: A gang of thieves broke into three houses of a society in Bachanaki village near Mundgod on the night of Wednesday and escaped with 70 gram gold ornaments, 40 tola silver articles and Rs 40,000 cash.

According to the sources, the thefts took place at the houses of Basavaraj Channappa Hanchimani, Ningappa Andanappa Kurubar and Arjun Neelappa Shiaggon.
