Bhatkal: The Meteorological Department has forecast that on May 19, heavy rain or thunderstorms are likely at a few places in all three coastal districts of Karnataka—Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, and Udupi—while most areas in these districts may experience moderate rain or thunderstorms.

According to the department, on May 20, extremely heavy rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds at speeds of 30 to 40 kmph are likely at some locations, and most places in these districts may receive heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.

The department further stated that on May 21, a few areas may experience heavy to extremely heavy rain along with gusty winds, while moderate rainfall is expected in most areas.

As per the forecast, gusty winds at speeds of 30 to 40 kmph are expected to continue, with a few places likely to receive heavy to extremely heavy rainfall and most areas seeing moderate rain.
