Kumta: A farmer died after slipping into the pond while working in the field near Devargundi in Kumta on 25th June, Saturday. 

The deceased has been identified as Ganapati Ramkrishna Patgar. 

It has been suspected that while he was working in field, he might have slipped into the pond located very next to his working area leading to his death. 

A Case has been registered in Kumta police station.
