Kumta: A dead whale of around 30 feets long and 7 feets wide was found at Holangadde beach of Kumta in the evening of 27th July, Wednesday. 

It has been suspected that the mammal must have died around 4-5 days back and was pushed out on the land by the heavy lashing waves.

The locals  coming to know of it, immediately informed concerned fisheries and forest department authorities. They rushed to the spot and examined and conducted the investigations.
