Mangaluru: Activist Mahammed Kabeer, who filed a petition against city police officials at the Lokayukta accusing them of corruption, said he was being harassed ever since he filed the petition and a notice was served to the police. “I get calls regularly from the police commissioner’s office and the DCP’s office. They keep sending notices and keep visiting near my residence,” he said.

“I have filed a petition against the police commissioner and other officials over corruption. How can the Lokayukta ask the police commissioner to examine the case and submit a report? I will submit all documents to the Lokayukta. I will appeal to the high court in case I don’t get justice,” he said.

City police commissioner N Shashi Kumar had earlier maintained that ACP (South) would probe the corruption charges made against the Ullal police inspector and sub inspector.
