Traffic on the National Highway 66 was disrupted for nearly six hour following a massive landslide at Ottinene in Byndoor near here on Wednesday.
The landslide occured after heavy rain lashed in the early hours.

The Supreme Court today decided to hear on June 15, the plea filed by a Hyderabad-based organisation challenging the Central Government's notification regarding ban on sale of cattle for slaughter.
As per the notification, cattle is defined as "bulls, bullocks, cows, buffalos, steers, heifers and calves and camels".

The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to grant relief to Justice C. S. Karnan in the contempt of court case where he was sentenced to six-month imprisonment.
The apex court earlier on May 19 rejected Justice Karnan's plea for recall of the six-month jail term for contempt of court, stating that the petition was "not maintainable" in the court.

A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Wednesday relieved veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L. K. Advani from personal appearance in connection with the Babri demolition case.
The court also granted exemption from personal appearance to BJP veteran M. M. Joshi and Union Minister Uma Bharti.

Opposition BJP Leader Jagdish Shettar today demanded that the Karnataka government announce farm loan waiver in the wake of the severe drought and warned of an agitation if the demand was not conceded.
