Yellapur: In a head on collision between a bike and a car on National Highway 63 at Arebail ghat in Yellapur on 26th August, Saturday, the bike rider died on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Ganapati Naik (39 yrs).
According to the complaint filed by the victim’s brother Rajesh, the accused driver is a resident of Madhul taluk in Bagalkot, Makeen Ratnakar s\o Anand Shetty.
The complaint states that the car bearing registration number KA-48/M-2323 which was traveling from Hubballi to Ankola at a high speed, collided with the bike with the registration number KA-31/Q-1111 which was moving towards Yellapur from Ankola on the Arebail ghat.
Due to the impact of the collision, both vehicles suffered damages, while bike rider died on the spot.
A case has been registered and PSI Shridhar is investigating the case.
