Mangaluru: The BJP leaders who are trying to confuse the people of the state cannot make Karnataka another Gujarat, said Food and Civil Services Minister U T Khader.
Addressing reporters here on Wednesday, he said the people of the state are matured enough to understand the BJP tactics. “The drama being played by the BJP leaders at a time when the elections are nearing will not be successful,”he said. Urging the BJP leaders to inform BJP national president Amit Shah to answer to the people of the state about the promises made by Union Government when it came to power, Khader recalled the promises made by the BJP such as the check into rise in prices of commodities, bringing back the black money and generation of crores of employment. “How many promises have been fulfilled,” he sought to know.
Recalling the objections raised by the BJP national president for providing Z plus security to the then former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi and following which the same was withdrawn, Khader said that at present, Shah is enjoying Z plus security even though he does not possess any office. “Such people can not work for the welfare of the people,” he said.
Khader said that there is no objection for Shah visiting the district, but he has the responsibility of answering the failures of his government and he should fulfil it when he comes to the district.
