Udupi: In wake of the alleged gang-rape of a 15-year-old girl on a moving Bus last week, three persons have been nabbed and booked under POCSO Act by the police.
The accused are KSRTC bus conductor Yuvraj Kattekar (45), driver Veerayya Hiremath (40) and additional driver Raghavendra Badagera (43).
The arrests were made by Udupi police on 10th July, Monday and the KSRTC bus belonging to Ranebennur depot of KSRTC has been seized.
The victim is a native of Belagavi and was residing at Manipal. She paid a visit to Ranebennur on 5th July and on her way, she was sexually assaulted by the three KSRTC staff members in the moving bus.
She complained about the incident to her parents after returning to Manipal on 8th July and they lodged a complaint at Udupi women police station under POCSO Act.
