Yellapur: After the debris caused by landslide was cleared, the tourists started visiting Sathodi falls in Yellapur taluk in Uttara Kannada district.

The pathway and tourists’ rest point at the entrance of Sathodi falls were damaged by the recent landslide and following this tourists feared to visit the falls.

Addressing the reporters, ACF of Yellapur S B Marigoolappanavar said that they have cleared the debris at the path and it is now open for tourists. He further said that the big rocks that fell on the path from hill top are yet to be cleared but the tourists can still walk easily on the path.

The falls was closed to the tourists as trees fell at the entrance of Sathodi falls after landslide caused last week. It is said Rs 5 lakh worth property has been damaged in the landslide.
