Dandeli: The Dandeli town police have arrested a thief and recovered the stolen gold from his possession.

The accused identified as Ashok Demanna Gurawa is a resident of Maruti Nagar in Dandeli. He was arrested on the charges of stealing gold ornaments from a house in Dandeli, a couple of days back.

The gold ornaments such as ear-rings, chain, a ring have been seized by the police.

The accused was arrested during an investigation led by DYSP Dayanand Pawar and CP Veeranna. Crime branch PSI UR Parwar, ASI Mahaveer Kamle, Ismail Konankeri, Santosh Rathod, Chidanand Sannagaudar among others were present.
