Majlise Islah wa Tanzeem host speech competition in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: A speech competition was organized by Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, Bhatkal on topics relating to the Independence of our country at Usman Hassan Hall in IAUHS premises, Bhatkal on 13th August, Sunday.

Around 30 students participated in the competition from various high schools, PUC and Degree colleges of Bhatkal. Speeches were categorised into English, Urdu and Kannada language on topics such as role of Tipu Sultan, poets and women in Freedom movement, the khilafat movement, etc.

High School level:

On high school level, Hassan Rubin s\o Riyaz Ahmed from Anjuman Urdu High School bagged the first place in English speech competition, while Abdul Latif s\o Iftikhar Sheikh from Shams English medium school won second place and Asim s\o Ashfaque Motiya from New Shams School received third prize.

In Urdu speech Competition, Zabib Ahmed s\o Moulana Khwaja Muhinuddin Akrami from IAUHS won the first place, while second prize was bagged by Farqaleet Rida s\o Raza Manvi of New Shams School and the third place was occupied by Syed Hamad s\o Syed Hashim Nizam from Ali Public school.

Bilal s\o Azad Arga of Shams english medium school bagged the first place in Kannada speech. Saif Ali s\o Abdul Khadir of Anjuman Boys High School received the second prize and third prize was bagged by Muhammed Shanwaz s\o Shabbir Ahmed of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal.

College level:

The prizes were bagged by the PU college students as follows:

English Speech - Syed Abdul Mannan from Anjuman PU College

Urdu Speech- Muhammed Irbaz Ikkeri from Anjuman PU College (1st place) and Zakwan s\o Nizamuddin from Jamia Islamia (2nd place)

Kannada Speech- Pathan Safwan from Anjuman PU College

The prizes won by Degree College students are as follows:

English Speech- Mohammed Sawood s\o Hafizul Rahman Amri from Jamia Islamia (1st place) and Ehrar from Anjuman Degree College (2nd place)

Kannada Speech- Ganesh Naik from Anjuman Degree College

Competition for Women:

An essay writing competition was held in connection to this programme at Anjuman Women’s College Bhatkal in which around 20-25 girls have participated. The results are yet to be announced.

Principal of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal Moulana Maqbool Kobatte Nadwi was the chief guest of the programme and AHM Additional Secretary Ishaaq Shabandari was the Guest of Honor. The programme was presided over by Kazia Muzammil and it was convened by the host Syed Yasir Barmawar.

Sadiq Pillur, Yusuf Barmawar, Altaf Kharoori, S M Syed Abdul Azeem and others were present on the dais.
