Karwar: Under the aegis of ABVP, students of Government Engineering College protested against the anti-students policies implemented by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in front of District Commissioner’s office on 30th August, Wednesday.

They took out protest rally from Government Engineering College passing Mahatma Gandhi Road up to the district commissioner office. The negligence of university caused students to attend more than 16 exams within the duration of 50 days and there is lack of teaching facility in university, they claimed.

Since last couple of years, VTU is not publishing results on time. Students are kept in dilemma about their results. And they are facing problems to prepare for upcoming examinations. Due to the syllabus changes in 2010 and 2015, many students have failed. Hence enquiry should be instituted, students urged.
