Yellapur: As many as six persons were injured after the car in which they were travelling in met with an accident with a lorry on National Highway 63 near Idagundi village, Yellapur taluk, on thursday night.
Eyewitness said that it was car driver's mistake that resulted in the accident as he was driving at highspeed.
The impact was such that the car turned turtle and few of its parts flew few meters away.
The injured have been identified as car driver NK shivaprasad (42), resident of Kaiga township, co-passengers Vani HN Paniraj (39), Amitha SN paniraj (14), Adhithi (11) Sudhabai H Nagarajrao (66).
All the injured were taken to taluk hospital for first aid and later was shifted to a private hospital in Hubbali.
A case has been registered.
