Sirsi: Versatile Actor Prakash Raj has joined the water campaign to work for the cause for environment.
He will create awareness on the importance of water conservation across the State along with water expert teams.
At an interaction-Jana Vatamaa, at Kanmane of Kalave village, in Sirsi taluk, on Wednesday, the actor said, “We should appreciate lifesaving qualities of water while working for conserving water.”
He said that water campaigning in anehonda in Sirsi, drew his attention and many people have been joining hands with the water campaigners looking at their sincerity. Water awareness movement should spread across the State, he said.
The activists suggested utilizing Corporate Social Responsibility Funds for water conservation activities.
Co-operative leader Manohar Maski presided. A documentary on ‘Aanehonda’ prepared by journalist Rajendra Shinganamane was released on the occasion.
Journalist Ravindra Baht Ainakai, Assistant Commissioner K Raju Mogaveer, DFO KB Manjunath, Actor Neernalliu Ramkarishna, Sirsi Jeevaja Karyapade President Srinivas Hebbar and environmentalist Shivananada Kalave were present.
