Bhatkal: The Zonal president of Students' Islamic Organization, Mr. Rafique visited Bhatkal today on 21st August, Monday and interacted with students from various educational establishments.
Starting with Shams English Medium High School, Mr. Rafique addressed the 10th year batch and talked about different ways of gathering knowledge. He also explained how should students seek and pursue a career that matches their abilities.
In his second session with students, Mr. Rafique addressed over a 100 youngsters at Mohtisham Academy. Stressing on the importance of education, he also spoke on how should students build their character from an Islamic perspective and develop a Muslim identity.
Later in the evening, Mr. Rafique was invited to address the freshers at Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management.
In his talk, Mr. Rafique emphasised upon the importance of innovation with the aim of solving problems faced by the world. Giving an example, he said life was like a train with 4 cars. He said that adherence to Islam should be the engine and personal life, education and career planning should be like passenger cars. "If Islam is the engine, all 3 cars will follow the same and right path.
He encouraged the youth to make positive contributions in all fields and not to hinder themselves with thoughts about whether their efforts will leave huge impact. "We are here to give our best efforts" he said.
During his visit to Bhatkal, Mr. Rafique, along with an SIO delegation, also met with the general secretary of Majlis e Islah wa Tanzeem, Mr. Altaf Kharuri. He also visited the office of SahilOnline and praised their role for exemplary journalism in the region.
