Hubli: In a bizarre incident, a class 6th student of Kendriya Vidyalaya school here at Hubli, injured herself on 24th August, Thursday while playing the deadly game 'Blue whale'. This is probably a first incident reported in the state.

Sources say, the girl told her friends that she cut her finger while playing the game, which in turn, her friends informed this to the teachers in the school.

The girl informed the teacher that she was playing the game after downloading it on her father's smartphone.

A teacher said, "We did not want to blow up this issue in front of her. So we only asked her to uninstall the game immediately after returning home". Meanwhile, another teacher convinced the girl not to play the game again.

"Children play such games due to the irresponsibility of parents. A parents meeting will be called soon in this regard and directions will be given to take better care of their children", the school in-charge said.
