UDUPI: Superintendent of Police K T Balakrishna has been transferred to Bengaluru as Superintendent of Police and Deputy Commandant General, Home Guards.

He would be replaced by Dr Sanjeev M Patil, who was Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau Headquarters, Bengaluru. Sanjeev Patil served as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) in Mangaluru and was transferred as Superintendent of Police (Anti-Corruption Bureau), Bengaluru Headquarters on May 8.

Patil, a BDS graduate, was posted to the Mangaluru Police Commissionerate as the DCP (Crime and Traffic) in August 2015. He was promoted to IPS cadre recently.

Balakrishna took charge as SP in Udupi on August 11,2016.
