Sirsi: The Jantha Dal (Secular) supreme HD Deve Gowda said that he is not interested in competing for the post of the President, but he still wants the people of Karnataka to vote JD(S) to power in the State.
Addressing to reporters in a press meet on Monday, he said, a regional party must come to power in Karnataka, inorder to solve the burning issues of the state such as Cauvery, Mahadayi and Hubballi-Ankola railway line.
Gowda said, “When we have solar power, wind power and hydel power, there is no need of nuclear power. When attempts were made to dump nuclear waste of Kundankulam plat, at KGP, I had opposed that. We have only two MP’s at present.”
He further added that he had already brought the issue of area crop damage due to drought to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but no action has been taken so far.
He also stated that all farmer’s loans should be waived off.
