Ankola: 'To serve the humanity, one does not require authority, instead it can be done by having faith and like mind', said the president of North Kanara Muslim United Forum, Mr. Imtiyaz Umar Shaikh here at the forum's district-level meeting held in Ankola.

He said he could respond to the people of the district if they can brief their needs via phone call too. It is very necessary to have co-operation and faith among the committee members. There are many schemes led by state and central government for minorities, for which the community is lacking behind to take advantage of it. The forum holds the responsibility of educating the beneficiaries regarding those schemes. The taluka units of Forum should hold their unit's meeting in their respective places as soon as possible and discuss these issues.

Gen. secretary of the forum, Muhammad Mohsin Qazi, said that the forum may soon launch new activities in the district that might be helpful for the community. He asked the district members to co-operate with any kind of circular passed by the executive members and urged to stay united with the decisions made.

On the occasion Syed Mohiddin Barmawar, Yahya Damudi, Dr. Haneef Shabab, Shaikh Ali Saleha, Abdul Kareem Shaikh, Shafi Shaikh, Shafiullah Qazi, Usman Tadkod, Kaleem Shaikh amongst many others were present.
