Mundgod: Both rider and pillion were reportedly killed on the spot when a bike in which they were traveling had an head-on collision with the bus approaching in the opposite direction. The incident happened on the evening of 24th August, Thursday, here at Havailkaul village on Yellapur road in Mundgod.

The deceased, bike rider was identified as Shakeel Ahmed, a resident of Dondashi in Sirsi taluk, while the pillion rider was identified as Gagan.

Sources informed that the incident took place when the bus rammed into the bike when the bike was overtaking another vehicle. During the incident, the bike was moving towards Yellapur from Sirsi, while the bus was in the opposite direction. The bus belonged to KSRTC.

A case has been registered in Sirsi police station.
