Minister flags off mini buses in Joida

Joida: Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy said many changes have been brought-in in all four transport corporations by releasing sufficient funds for development of new bus stations and purchase of thousands of buses.

The punctuality of public transport buses has improved a lot, he claimed. After laying the foundation stone for construction of expanded Joida bus station on Tuesday, he said the state government is going to expand the present bus station at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore. “We will develop the Joida bus station on the line of Bengaluru central bus station,” he added.

He said the government has released crore of rupees for development of all the taluk bus stations in the district. “Till date, we have given 670 new buses to the district and will give few more buses as per the demand of District Minister R V Deshpande,” he said. The minister also flagged off five mini buses, which will service in Joida taluk, on the occasion.
