Mangaluru: A man and his son-in-law accidentally drowned into a rivulet at Enekal in the evening of 2nd June, Friday here at Subramanya police station limits.

The deceased were identified as Anand Gowda (65), a resident of Banadka and his son-in-law Sunil Gowda (30), a resident of Anegundi.

Sources say, both Ananda and Sunil were trying to repair a pumpset installed near Enekal rivulet. Ananda Gowda too washed away when he tried to rescue Sunil.

It might be noted that Sunil along with his wife and a child had come to their native place from Bengaluru on the same day morning.

A case has been registered in Subramanya Police Station.
