Mangaluru: A resident of Kasargod was detained for carrying live bullets at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on 6th June, Tuesday.
As per the reports, Muhammed Shafeeq, a resident of Kasargod arrived at the Airport to board a Jet Airways flight to New Delhi along with his family but he was detained as the airport personnel found some live bullets in his possession.
It came to light during screening process that he was carrying bullets and he was handed over to the Bajpe police.
During investigation, he cleared the misconception by informing the police that he was carrying the bag which belonged to his father who has a licensed gun.
The claim was verified by the Bajpe police who produced him to the court where he was granted bail.
