Kumta: A 26-Year old bike rider was grievously injured, after a bike which he was riding was hit by a car, that happened on 2nd August, Wednesday afternoon here at Mirzan NH-66 on the outskirts of Kumta.

The injured bike rider was identified as Praveen Halegar (26), a resident of Hangal in Haveri district.

As per the information received, it was studied that the bike rider had received serious injuries over his head and body, as a result he was rushed to a private hospital in Hubli after providing initial treatments at Kumta Govt hospital.
