Karwar: In a gruesome road accident, bike rider was killed on the spot after a speedily approaching bus hit him. The incident happened in the​ afternoon of 15th June, Thursday in Yellapur of Uttar Kannada district.

The deceased bike rider has been identified as Vishwanath Shanbag (60), a resident of Udyam Nagar of Yellapur.

The incident reported infront of Yellapur taluka panchayat office. The bus which hit belonged to KSRTC.

Yellapur police rushed to the spot soon after receiving the information.

A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
