Karwar: The State government had been launching number of schemes for empowering youths and students in the district. But response for the schemes was not encouraging, ZP CEO Ramprasath Manohar bemoaned. He was speaking at the youth empowerment programme under Soorya-2 scheme auditorium here on Monday.
The people do not recognize the value of a material if given free of cost. But its value would be estimated and regarded only when obtained in a competition. The opportunities should not be sidelined but utilized properly to excel in every field, he said.
One could achieve new heights of skills and interests were in unison. The work would bring satisfaction if it was enjoyed with creative involvement, he said.
Pune Aspire Head Hussain said thinking about unemployment by being at home would not bring any change. If opportunities were explored and utilized, success would follow, he added.
Training was provided to 200 men and women under Soorya-2 scheme.
In the first selection round 10 candidates were selected for employment in various companies.
