Karwar: A group of tourist boys went on rampage, breaking the hotel appliances after being questioned by the Restaurant manager about their alleged misbehavior with girls in the hotel. The incident happened on the late night of 25th August, Friday, at the 'Drive-In' restaurant located near Rabindranath Tagore beach here in the city. The restaurant belongs to Ganapathi Ulwekar.
Sources said that a group of 54 boys, students of BGS College of Mandya district had been to Karwar as tourists. They went for 'Drive-In' restaurant for dinner. There, the boys were reportedly seen teasing the girls present in the restaurant.
The restaurant management questioned them for this shameful act of boys. Enraged with this, the boys went on a rampage, breaking the hotel appliances and also the window panes. It was also reported that the boys were intoxicated.
Police personnel rushed to the spot and took all 54 tourist students into their custody.
