Heavy rainfall in various parts of Uttara Kannada

Bhatkal: Parts of Uttar Kannada district including Bhatkal, Karwar and Gokarna received heavy rain on 20th June, Tuesday morning.

The weather was cloudy and dark till noon and after 1pm the skies opened up and the water poured till 3pm.

The district has received about a total of 60.7mm of rainfall within the last 24 hours and the averages falls at 5.5mm.

The details of rainfall in various parts of the district are as follows:

  • Ankola- 4.2 mm

  • Bhatkal- 1.8 mm

  • Honnavar- 16 mm

  • Karwar- 11.4 mm

  • Kumta- 1.6 mm

  • Siddapur- 18.2 mm

  • Sirsi- 4.5 mm

  • Joida- 2.6 mm

  • Yellapuar- 0.4 mm

The water level at Supa reservoir stood at 530.08 metres against the maximum of 564 metres. The inflow was 313 cusecs while the outflow was 795 cusecs.
