Karwar: District In-charge Minister R V Deshpande said that the state government has decided to give skill development training to five lakh youths and provide them jobs in various sectors.

After inaugurating three classrooms at Late Mohan Shetty Government PU College in Honnavar recently, he said, he is happy to see 625 student strength in this government college. He appreciated the social concern of MLA Sharada Shetty, who came forward to develop PU college.

Local MLA and Coastal Development Authority chairperson Sharada Shetty stressed the need for giving education to all children.

“Considering the importance of education former MLA and my husband Mohan Shetty used to donate funds for the development of educational institutions. After his demise, I’ am continuing the same,” she said.

Bhatkal MLA Mankal Vaidya said that the education plays a vital rote in the development of all sector and it should be provided to all children.
