Bhatkal: A group of four fishermen, whose boat capsized, were rescued by a nearby fisherman on 1st October, Sunday afternoon.

According to sources, four fishermen — Manjappa Bairu Moger, Keshaw Moger, Umesh Devadiga and Parameshwar Devadiga set out for fishing from Tengingundi Bunder on Sunday morning.

The incident happened at around 2 pm when the deep sea trawler “Durgaparameshwari” was exiting from the Tengingundi bunder Port.

They immediately sought the assistance of their colleagues fishing nearby and some small boat came to their rescue.
