Karwar: Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner S S Nakul has directed the staff posted at waterfalls in the district to ensure safety of tourists, besides maintaining cleanliness in the area, during rainy season.
On Thursday, he along with other officials visited Satodi, Magodu, Shirle and Vibhuti falls to take stock of the situation. Nakul said: “Once the monsoon starts, people from across the state start visiting the waterfalls in the district. Ensuring their safety and providing them with basic facilities are our prime priority.”
Works like displaying signboards and making toilet facility will be taken with the help of Grama Aranya Samiti and other teams, he added.
