The Emir of Kuwait has freed 22 Indian prisoners and commuted the sentences of 97 others lodged in the Arab country’s jails, according to India’s Embassy in Kuwait City.
The list containing the names of 119 Indians is addition to the 15 Indian prisoners whose death sentences were recently commuted to life imprisonment.

A quick-thinking Muslim woman saved the life of an Indian truck driver in the UAE when she saw him in flames following a horrific road accident, media reports said.

At least two people died and 26 were hospitalised with suspected gunshot wounds after a shooting at a music festival on the Las Vegas Strip early on Monday. At least 12 of the injured victims were in critical condition.

HAVERI: Six people including five women died on the spot and another six persons were severely injured when a van in which they were travelling hit a lorry parked on the Koda-Halageri Road in Ranebennur taluk at midnight Sunday.
The deceased were family friends from Makanooru, Kavalethu and Kodiyal Hospet villages of Ranebennur taluk and were returning from a picnic in the vehicle.
