Karwar: At least one person died on the spot, while other three sustained multiple injuries after the car in which they were traveling went on thrashing a roadside tree. The accident was occured on 26th May, Friday, near Jogikoppa cross of Yellapur on NH63.

The deceased has been identified as Amit Chandrashekar Salimath (27), professionally an engineer hailing from Dharwad. He received severe injuries on his body after the incident and breathed his last on the spot.

The other three injured were taken to Yellapur Govt hospital.

A case has been registered in Yellapur police station.
