Karwar: "Water stagnation near Bandishitta Forest Toll on Karwar-Kaiga Road in Karwar Taluk has become a big problem for motorists and pedestrians. The road must be repaired immediately", said Jon Santan Bereto, a localite.
Submitting a memorandum to district administration, he said, water stagnates on the small bridge near the road whenever it rains.
The two ends of the newly constructed bridge were asphalted. But now, the road has lost form and has developed pot holes. This is causing trouble to vehicle drivers. There have been instances of accidents also.
"As there is no proper Strom water drain system, rain water flowing from hill rests on the road. The road must be asphalted and proper drainage system must be developed for smooth flow of rain water", he further added.
