Karwar: "Former chief minister and state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa will be attending public meetings on 7th June, Wednesday in Karwar, Ankola and Kumta, stated K G Naik", president of district BJP.

He further said that Yeddyurappa will be arriving at Kumta on 6th June, Tuesday during evening and after participating in a pooja at Mahadev temple in Baad on Wednesday, he will have breakfast at a dalit’s house in the city.

The farmer community is reeling under crisis due to continuous droughts and in order to build confidence among them, Yeddyurappa has been touring across the state.

"He will address party workers at Maladevi Ground in Karwar city, after which he will leave for Ankola and Kumta towns", he added.

Naik also said, “I have not got any information about Deshpande joining our party. The party leadership will look into the matter. We have not forced anyone to join the BJP. If anybody wants to join it, we will welcome them" in reply to the rumours that Congress leader and Industries Minister R V Deshpande will join the BJP.
