Karwar: BJP workers submitted memorandum to the district Administration here, on Monday, demanding steps to repair damaged roads in Ankola taluk.
“We have studied the condition of roads, and found that most of the main roads are in damaged condition. Potholes are causing serious problem for vehicle users and pedestrians,” said BJP leader Nagraj Nayak.
Bus drivers are hesitating to drive the bus on several roads in Belamber, Agragon, Hillur, Dongri, and Belekeri Gram Panchayat areas. Even Ambulance service to these villages is also hampered due to bad roads, he said.
Officials and people’s representatives have not yet fulfilled the demand to repair the roads, he lamented. A CD having the clippings of poor condition of roads was also handed over to Additional Deputy Commissioner H Prasanna.
Nityanand Gaonkar, Bhaskar Narvekar, Nagesh Keni, Ramachandra Hedge, and others were present.
