Bhatkal: The BCA Department of Sri Guru Sudhindra College (SGS), under the Bhatkal Education Trust, organized a special lecture on "Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity" for its students.
Dr. Lalith K.M., a professor from the University of Texas, Arlington, USA, served as the resource person for the program. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted artificial intelligence (AI) as a groundbreaking innovation of the era and emphasized the importance of its appropriate use by the youth. He also provided an in-depth analysis of various aspects of cybercrime and the measures to ensure cybersecurity.
Rajesh Nayak, trustee manager of the Bhatkal Education Trust, attended as the chief guest. He remarked, "Our priority is to provide technology-based skill education tailored to modern advancements. Specifically, our BCA department has been focusing on this area and has established robotics labs to enhance students' learning."
The chairman of the Bhatkal Education Trust, Dr. Suresh Nayak, who presided over the event, encouraged students to acquire modern technological skills and strive to become job creators.
During the event, posters promoting training and awareness programs on AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity were unveiled.
SGS College Principal Srinath Pai welcomed the gathering and provided an introductory speech about the program. The Deputy Principal of the BCA department, Vikhyath Prabhu, delivered the vote of thanks.
