Mangaluru: A gang of five members stabbed the shopkeeper using the knife and later fled the scene, that happened on the night of 24th May, Wednesday here at Konaje. 

The injured shopkeeper has been identified as Abdul Rahman (35). He was attacked while he was shutting down his juice shop at night.

Sources said that a group of five people came into Omni car and went on assaulting Abdul Rahman using knife and injured his head, hands, and legs, after which the goons fled the​ scene. It was also said that since many days, few youngsters used to come nearby the Abdul Rahman's juice shop to beat ganja. Due to this, Abdul Rahman had filed a case in a police station. 

Police have suspected that to take revenge, the goons assaulted the Abdul Rahman.

Case have been filed at Konaje police station and investigations are on.
