Kumta: “It was BJP leaders who did not allow me to pay attention towards Uttara Kannada district to solve the problem related to issue of title deeds to forest dwellers. They kept on trying to destabilise the coalition government because of which I could not come to Uttara Kannada district to address the issue,” claimed Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
Campaigning in favour of coalition candidate for Uttara Kannada Parliamentary constituency Anand Asnotikar from JD(S) in Kumta on Thursday, he said that amendments have to be brought to the Forest Rights Act in the Lok Sabha. But never did Union Minister and five-time MP from Uttara Kannada Ananthkumar think of raising the issue in the Lok Sabha and solve it.
He alleged that Hegde had never learnt to respect the votes that he received and always used uncivilised and cheap words, thereby instigating people.
“Has Hegde worked for the welfare of Dalits, farmers and backward classes in five terms,” Kumaraswamy questioned and alleged that Hegde and his supporters were busy ‘buying’ voters this time as he was losing support.
Reinterating about his health condition, Kumaraswamy assured that he will restart his ‘village stay’ programme idays to come to address the problems of rural people inspite of his health issues.
