Karwar: A 26-year-old youth died after the bike he was riding and an Omni van collided head-on in front of the district hospital in Karwar on Friday.

Suraj Janak Prasad, a resident of Baithkhol was killed in the accident. 

The accident took place when Suraj was moving from the SP office side and the Omni came from the opposite side and hit the bike. Suraj was injured seriously. Though he was rushed to the hospital by the police and local people, he had died on way to the hospital.

Traffic police have registered a case.
