Mangaluru: The police arrested a youth for allegedly murdering his friend in a park near State Bank bus terminus.

The suspect has been identified as Lingappa (38), a resident of Kateel.

He had allegedly murdered his friend Santhosh during a drunken brawl on the night of May 7.

The incident came to light on May 8.  After murdering him, Lingappa had allegedly placed a concrete slab on his body.

DCP (Law and Order) Hanumantharaya said that others involved in the case will be arrested soon.
