Mundgod: A 22-year-old drowned after he accidentally fell into a stream while washing his cattle at Yarebail village on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Dyamanna Tippannavar. 

Dyamanna fell into the Bedti stream flowing near his village when the cattle pulled the rope tied to it and he lost balance. As he did not know swimming, he drowned. Though the nearby people rushed to his rescue, he could not be saved. The youth basically hailed from Tavargeri in Kalghatagi taluk and was staying in his grandfather’s house at Yarebail working in his fields.
