Mundgod: A young woman who was riding pillion on a bike died after the bike and a car collided head-on on the banks of Koppad lake in Mundgod taluk.

The car was on its way from Kalghatgi to Mundgod and the bike was moving to Indoor village when the accident took place.

The deceased was identified as Hanumavva Devdas Bhat (23) of Indoor village in Mundgod taluk. Sarfaraj Bepari, who was riding the bike, was also injured and was under treatment.
