Yellapur: Kannada writer Ganesh Nadur has announced his withdrawal of the Sahitya Academy Award and the Bal Vikas Academy Award in condemnation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens Registration (NRC).

Ganesh Nadur was awarded with the Sahitya Academy Award in 2003. He has decided to return the award in condemnation of the CAA and NRC. He was also awarded the Bal Vikas Academy Award in 2015. He said that both of his awards will be returned to relevant academies very soon.
