Yellapur: In a tragic road accident that took place in between goods lorry and 407-mini truck, five people were injured which happened on 8th August, Tuesday on NH-63 here at Yellapur.

The incident reported when the lorry was moving towards Hubli from Ankola, while a mini truck was in the opposite direction. Both went on colliding head-on, resulting in the injuries of five members and the impact of collision made the mini truck completely damage on its front portion.

The injured were identified as Prasanna Ningappa Pyati (20) of Hangal,  Muhammad Ali Nabi (47), Venugopal HV (43), Chinnabasava MT (18) and Muskan Khan (18). 

The driver of lorry fled the scene fearing the incident. In this regard and case has been registered in Yellapur police station and investigations are on.
